Corona and Plasma Surface Treating
- Pillar Technologies, a division of Illinois Tool Works, Inc. was founded in 1966 and introduced the first solid state corona treating power supply in 1968. Since that time, Pillar has continued to be a technological leader in surface treatment systems.

Pillar now offers a complete line of corona treating systems for the extruding, coating and laminating, nonwovens and printing markets. Since 1993, Pillar has become the innovator of Controlled Atmospheric Treating Systems.

Pillar maintains a fully functional laboratory at their facility in Hartland Wisconsin which enables customers to try each technology to determine which is best suited for their application.
