Corona and Plasma Surface Treating - Pillar Technologies, a division of Illinois Tool Works, Inc. was
founded in 1966 and introduced the first solid state corona treating
power supply in 1968. Since that time, Pillar has continued to be a
technological leader in surface treatment systems.
Pillar now
offers a complete line of corona treating systems for the extruding,
coating and laminating, nonwovens and printing markets. Since 1993,
Pillar has become the innovator of Controlled Atmospheric Treating
Systems.
Pillar maintains a fully functional laboratory at
their facility in Hartland Wisconsin which enables customers to try
each technology to determine which is best suited for their application.

Power Supplies
Backed
with over three decades of experience, the P6000 Series features the
latest in transistorized technology providing the most versatile corona
treater power supply on the market today.
Available from .5 to 30 Kw,
this compact unit incorporates a circuit design that enables instant
and efficient power. The P6000 automatically adjusts itself to match
into any electrode style or dielectric material. In fact, the P6000
Series offers the operator better than 4 to 1 load matching. |

Blown Film Treater Station
Pillar
Technologies line of treaters includes a specific corona treater
designed for the blown film industry. This machine has been improved
over the years, taking advantage of Pillar's 40 years of experience.
Featuring
easy thread-up, external gap adjustment, stainless steel segmented
electrodes and slotted end plates for easy roll removal, this open
style treater is ideal for blown film applications.
Available with your choice of silicone sleeve, epoxy, hypalon, ceramic and glass dielectric roll covers. |
 |
Universal Corona Treating Station
The
Universal Corona Treater features a patented modular design. This
electrode magazine technology allows for bare roll, covered roll, or
dual dielectric treating. The easy to use open style treaters are ideal
for most converting applications.
Available with your choice as bare roll, or with silicone sleeve, epoxy, hypalon, ceramic and glass dielectric roll covers. |

Wide Web Treating Stations
Pillar
offers Wide Web Corona Treaters up to 10 Meters wide.
Removable
electrodes, multi-point gap adjustment, easy roll removal, and corona
viewing windows are just some of the standard features. |
 |
Narrow Web Treating Station
The
Pillar unitized narrow web corona treater system is perfect for
applications requiring a 7 to 26 inch treat width.
Due to its size and
convenience, this machine has become the label printing industry
standard. |
