Simplicity Gravimetric Continuous Blender

Easy to install, configure, operate, and maintain, the SIMPLICITY gravimetric resin blender uses industry proven off-the-shelf components like maintenance free vibratory feeders. Utilizing loss-in-weigh technology, all component ingredients are weighed and metered simultaneously, eliminating the need for mechanical mixing, while consistently producing the desired blend.

These continuous gravimetric resin blenders provide a "just in time blend" and typically sit on an extruder throat or on a mezzanine above the extruder. 

The rate of the blender is determined automatically by the process weight consumption. This solution offers extremely accurate real time throughput/yield control. A color touch screen provides the operator an easy to use interface with built in help screens. The PLC based control is highly accurate and reliable to assure total system functionality and integration, and is far superior to industry standard proprietary controls.

CRG offers the following mounting configurations for the Simplicity - Extruder mount, Mezzanine mount, Offline mount, and Gaylord stand mount.

With expertise in controls, CRG Logics has provided retrofit controls for most all commercially available resin blend systems on the market today. For less critical applications where cost, not blend accuracy, is of primary concern we offer a Maguire Batch Blending System fitted with a CRG Logics Allen Bradley PLC Based Control, weigh hopper and vacuum convey system.

Batch blending technology offers a single weigh hopper in which each ingredient is fed in alternately with slide gates until a "Batch" is made. This batch is then dropped into a mechanical mixer, then out to process. A level signal in the extruder hopper typically controls the rate of this unit. This solution offers a slow acting less accurate throughput/yield control.

In a typical three layer film line a CRG Logics, Inc. PLC Based Control System with a single color touch screen interface would control all blend, convey and throughput control parameters. This system greatly simplifies line operation while reducing installation and maintenance costs.

Additive Feeders
 gravimetric1.jpg CRG Logics manufactures a complete line of vibratory additive feeders with rates from under 1PPH to over 1,000PPH.

VOLUMETRIC - For less critical operations a potentiometer controls the feed rate by varying volume.

GRAVIMETRIC - Highly accurate metering by weight. Either stand alone to feed an existing material stream, or combined with a weight throughput monitor hopper.

PURGE HOPPERS - Stand alone or integrated in with a CRG Blending system where an operator can automatically shut off the blend stream and initiate a purge cycle.
